Just select a delicious gourmet meal — like Asian steak salad or pecan crusted salmon — from the extensive menu on their website, then call 434-987-2192 to arrange for delivery. It’s that easy! You can even order for several weeks at a time.

The Independence staff is superb. Just ask our residents. Need a hand moving in a new chair? Hanging a large picture? Just ask. We’re always happy to help.

Want to find a doctor who makes house calls? Perhaps you need a little housekeeping help? It’s easy to take care of all that and more, through a special program called My Home For Life.™ This subscription service, similar to AAA Roadside Assistance, gives you single-call access to reliable service providers that make your life easier and helps you maintain your independence. It’s provided through the Jefferson Area Board of Aging (JABA), one of the nation’s most forward-looking local agencies on aging.

Get Involved

As a resident, you’ll automatically be a voting member of our Resident’s Association. The Residents’ Council, the association’s executive body, is made up of nine resident members who meet monthly. The council is an active, integral part of the community and instrumental in interacting with management on many facets of life at The Independence.
